The hotel is located in a quiet tree-lined square not far from Paddington Station and the Heathrow Express train. The Cardiff Hotel is a friendly bed and breakfast hotel in the heart of London, run by the Davies family for 40 years. Wireless internet access available.
The hotel is only 15 minutes by train from Heathrow Airport, perfectly placed to ensure you can spend more time seeing London and the rest of the UK. You can enjoy being a few minutes walk from Hyde Park, Oxford Street and some of London's most famous attractions including Madame Tussaud's. In addition, we have easy underground and bus links to the West End theatres, Wembley Stadium, the museums, Harrods and so much more. Most rooms are en suite and a delicious English breakfast is included in all room rates.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the hotel.

Some of the double rooms have a view over Norfolk Square - a lovely Victorian garden square, lined with leafy trees and well-tended flower beds.
Most triple rooms have a view over Norfolk Square garden.
The family room contains 1 double bed and 2 single beds. All family rooms are located on the lower ground floor - there are only 10 steps to access them, but they do not have a view. All family rooms are designated non smoking.
Note we do not have a lift and most singles are on the higher floors.
All twin rooms contain 2 single beds.
This is the hotel's smallest single room. It contains a single bed and washbasin only and is located on the 3rd floor. The shower and toilet are located on the floor above (note no lift) and are not shared, as this is the only room of its type in the hotel. Both the room and the bathroom are newly redecorated. The room is on the 3d floor at the back and is thus very quiet as there is no street at the rear of the hotel.
By Air:
We are 2 minutes walk from Paddington Station, the terminus of the Heathrow Express. (You can travel to Heathrow Airport in 15 minutes aboard the Heathrow Express Train). The Heathrow Express runs from 05:00 to 23:40 and costs 13 GBP one way. We can also arrange the Hotelink shuttle service from Heathrow (15) or Gatwick (22) for a door-to-door service. By Train/ Underground:
Paddington underground station connects you to the rest of London, with immediate access to 4 underground lines. The station is served by the following underground lines: Bakerloo, District, Circle, Hammersmith & City. The following bus routes also stop at Paddington station: 7, 15 & 23, 205 (from Kings Cross), 436 and 36 (from Victoria). Paddington is the arrival point for all trains from Wales and the West. Enjoy day trips from Paddington to Windsor Castle, Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon.
By Car:
- Take the M40 as far as the Paddington turn off.
- Take the 1st left into Bishops Bridge Road and drive down the side of the station until the next set of traffic lights, where you need to make a left turn into Praed Street.
- Next take the 1st right into London Street, where you see the Burger King, and then the 1st left into Norfolk Square.

From 19 February 2007 the Cardiff Hotel is inside the congestion charging zone.
